CLF Important “do”s and “don’t”s

Do:

Obey all safety signs
Know the escape routes and assembly areas for your location
Stop and think about the hazards associated with the work you undertake – if there are significant risks, formal risk assessment documentation must be submitted and approved before work proceeds
Report accidents, near misses, dangerous situations, and environmental incidents
Wear required personal protective clothing or equipment (PPE)
Remove PPE before exiting controlled laboratories
Observe traffic regulations and the site speed limit of 20 mph
Park only in designated parking areas.

Don't enter any areas to which you have not specifically been granted access
Don't eat or drink in laboratories, control rooms, or hallways between laboratories
Don't modify any safety systems, including interlock or control systems, unless authorised to do so.
