Ryan obtained his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bristol in 2021. He then completed a 3-year postdoc position at the University of Edinburgh, before joining the ULTRA team in 2024 to support user experiments and assist in the delivery of the HiLUX project.

Interests: Time-resolved spectroscopies, photochemistry, photocatalysis, reactive intermediates, solution-phase dynamics.​
