Dr Nrisimha Murty Madugula joined the Artemis team in November 2023.​ He worked on the design and development of state-of-the-art gas-phase anion photoelectron imaging, theoretical studies on autoionization resonances along neon isoelectronic sequence, and collision-induced dissociation of anion clusters, during his time at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras as a graduate student. Then he developed skills in accelerator-based atomic and molecular physics with an upgrade project on Cold-Target Recoil Ion Momentum Spectroscopy (COLTRIMS) for Young’s double-slit type interference experiments at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Mumbai. Following this, he has attained expertise in pulse compression using gas filled hollow-core fibers and knowledge on attosecond science at the University of Central Florida. Very recently at Ohio State University, his research interests expanded horizon to time-resolved and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy for solids.
