Direct Access is suitable for single visits for brief proof-of-principle/instrument development experiments only e.g. to get initial results needed to support a major grant and/or Programme Mode application. A maximum of 3 weeks of Direct Access time may be requested.
How to apply for Direct Access
Use the CLF online proposal system (link opens in a new window).
On the home page click on the 'LSF' button and enter the information requested at each step. At step #3 select the 'Direct Access' access route. Direct Access proposals require a 2-side (A4) supporting case to be uploaded.
