Senior Project Engineer

Brian has been employed by STFC and its predecessors for over 44 years and has been a project engineer on many projects including: 5T superconducting magnet for the SRS & HERA H1 superconducting solenoid for DESY. Having previously been CLF Chief Engineer & Head of Operations for 28 years, he was responsible for engineering on all of the major CLF projects including the 100TW Vulcan Upgrade, Titania, Astra, the Vulcan Capacitor Upgrade, Vulcan Petawatt, Astra Gemini, Artemis and the Vulcan TAW Upgrade.

For the last 3 years, Brian has been semi-retired and was the CLF Lead for the new EPAC Building as well as the CLF Safety Head.
